From Georgetown University,
to Michael Jackson's This is It World Tour,
it's been an amazing 35 years
After graduating from law school at Georgetown University Law Center, Dennis began his legal career in the corporate transactions department at the Los Angeles based firm of Kindel & Anderson. While at Kindel & Anderson, Dennis joined the corporate department and his practice concentrated in the preparation of complex corporate, real estate and entertainment company transactions, advising emerging growth companies, negotiating and drafting merger and acquisition documents, assisting in the public and private placement of financing, and advising pacific rim companies in the entertainment industry.
In the early 1990's, Dennis served as General Counsel and Vice President for Pax World, Inc., a California based subsidiary of a Japanese entertainment company, promoting musical performances in Japan and in the east Asian region, and as a Director and Vice President of business and legal affairs for Golden West Entertainment, a television and feature film development company.
Dennis then joined the law firm of Stein Perlman specializing in corporate, real estate, medical services and entertainment industry transactions. He became a principal in the renamed Stein Perlman & Hawk and thereafter merged his practice with the Business Law Group. Dennis continues to concentrate on advising emerging growth companies and wealthy individuals in the entertainment, real estate, air charter, medical services, emerging growth and technology industries.
As a high point in his career, Dennis served as the principal legal advisor to Michael Jackson in 2008 and 2009 in several matters, including Michael’s world concert “This Is It” tour negotiations with AEG Live.
While at Georgetown, Dennis served on the board of the American Criminal Law Review and was a founding member of the Journal of Law and Technology.
